Meet the Panelists:

Stacie Bourgeois is currently leading communication for the merger integration project for the new Assiniboine Credit Union / Caisse Assiniboine. Previously, she was the Senior Manager of Marketing and Community Relations at Westoba Credit Union. She has been working in the marketing realm for more than a decade and is passionate about digital marketing, understanding the consumer and user experience. She loves how marketing and communications is fast paced, ever changing and gives you a place to flex your creativity while showing results. Her core leadership values are clear communication, empowering others, don’t be afraid to ask why and it’s ok to fail fast. She graduated from Brandon University with a major in Business, minor in Psychology, she has a certificate in Digital Marketing through McMaster University and is a huge promoter of lifelong learning.

Dean Beleyowski is the Vice President of Marketing at Assiniboine Credit Union / Caisse Assiniboine, with over 30 years of experience in marketing and communications within the finance and telecommunications sectors. Dean has worked to drive growth and enhance brand presence through innovative campaigns and strategic leadership. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, Dean ensures strategies align with the corporate goals and fosters and delivers effective tactics that resonate with target audiences and drive results.

Sylvie Laurencelle-Vermette is the Vice President, Communications & French Language Services at the newly formed Assiniboine Credit Union – Caisse Assiniboine, where she leads strategic communications and French language initiatives. She joined Caisse Financial Group in 2019 as Vice President of Marketing and Communications, bringing extensive experience in media, financial services, and corporate communications.

A recognized leader in her field, Sylvie was the first Manitoban to receive the Communication Management Professional (CMP) designation, highlighting her expertise in strategic communications. She also served as President of IABC Manitoba, where she played a key role in advancing the communications profession in the province.

Beyond her corporate role, Sylvie is a dedicated advocate for the Francophone business community. She currently serves as President of the Francophone Chamber of Commerce of St. Boniface, supporting the growth and success of Francophone businesses and entrepreneurs. Before transitioning to financial services, she built a strong foundation in media at Radio-Canada, where she made significant contributions to the Francophone media landscape.

Passionate about bilingualism, community engagement, and corporate storytelling, Sylvie continues to champion strategic communication and French language services in both her professional and volunteer roles.
