The following volunteer roles are great opportunities to share your skills while connecting with communications leaders across CWR’s six IABC Chapters: BC, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Regina and Winnipeg.

Help lead the Canada West Region 2021 Conference:

The Conference will be held in October 2021, with all sessions taking place online. Volunteering as CWR 2021 Conference Chair is a terrific opportunity for a member to contribute to Canada’s premiere regional conference, and because it will take place online, your hometown location isn’t a factor. Please note, the logistics of the online conference will be managed by Swansea Communications, so you don’t need to be a tech expert! Instead, we’re looking for individuals with a keen sense of what members are seeking in a learning opportunity. You will be responsible for the overall project management, budgeting and managing a team who will pull together the superb content that Canadians have come to expect from the CWR Conference.

Share your social media savvy with Canada West Region:

IABC Canada West Region has an opening for a Social Media Strategist. As a key member of the Canada West Region (CWR) Communications team, the Social Media Strategist ensures that social content is current and accurate. The Strategist liaises with chapters to surface and share relevant content. In addition, they are responsible for ensuring a consistent tone, voice and content approach that serves the needs of CWR chapter leaders. This role, ideal for an intermediate communications professional, represents a unique opportunity to help define the direction of region communications.
