Marketing Associate

The Marketing Associate will work closely with Business Unit Managers, Product Managers, and Engineering to develop a marketing strategy for your assigned portfolio of Business Units and product categories. You will be responsible for the execution of strategy through a variety of media, working with internal graphic designers, videographers, and web developers. You will seek guidance and mentorship from both existing Marketing Managers and the Vice President of Marketing on departmental processes and quality expectations.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a deep and thorough understanding of the science behind the products, the target market, the competition, and competitive positioning of the product line(s)
  • Develop a comprehensive marketing plan, in collaboration with Business Unit Management, Product Managers, Marketing Managers and the Director of Marketing, to achieve specific annual and long-term goals in terms of product line growth, penetration and market share.
  • Manage the execution of all marketing tactics related to product category, including: Development of literature items, including product brochures and sales guides, Development of video materials, Website development and maintenance, Social media strategy, Development of signage and tradeshow materials, Assist the Business Unit and /or Product Manager in competitive analysis, positioning, and strategy.
  • Work closely with Marketing Managers to develop a deep understanding of the role, the
  • departmental processes and quality standards for the department.
  • Interact with Engineering, Sales, Creative, Software Development and IT.
  • Direct contact and interaction with the CEO as it relates to mission-critical marketing programs and materials.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Degree or diploma in Business, Creative Communications or Engineering.
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Naturally and comfortably team oriented — likes to collaborate.
  • Wired to serve others at a very high level.
  • Very strong work ethic.
  • Strong conceptual thinker who is comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive marketing strategies.
  • Able to translate a marketing strategy into deliverable items and manage production of these items.
  • Interested in engaging deeply in technical details of product as well as the market environment.
  • Able to translate highly technical concepts into digestible content for varied audiences.
  • Experience with graphic design, video, and web development considered as asset.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
