Description:
Note: To be considered for this position, all applicants are required to submit a one-page sample of their own writing (must be original) created for work/business purposes. Examples may include, but are not limited to a news release, newspaper/magazine article, annual report summary, blog post, series of social media posts, business profile, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Managing corporate communications for both internal and external.
- Assisting executive management in corporate planning and reporting.
- Liaising with other managers and executive management on all related initiatives.
Essential Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in public relations, communications, or marketing with experience at a management level, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
- Experience in all aspects of developing and managing high-level corporate/business communications.
- Experience managing and motivating staff.
- Experience using Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) in a cloud-based environment.
- Ability to research, develop, and edit content following style guides.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects, and adapt to changing work demands and deadlines.
- Ability to maintain accuracy with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of corporate and strategic planning methods.
- Knowledge of social media, web, and other online tools.
Desired qualification:
- Ability to deliver customer service excellence, both internally and externally.
- Basic understanding of the French language.
- Knowledge and understanding of Agriculture.
Conditions of employment:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and have the ability to travel within the Province of Manitoba.
